DESCRIPTION
Position Summary
Responsible for the overall planning, organizing, implementing, vision and leadership of the human resources functions of the organization to promote the effective and efficient recruitment, intake, onboarding, utilization, retention and off-boarding of hospital personnel. Ensures that each department’s compliance with human resources policies and procedures is consistent across the organization. Plans, coordinates, and administers policies, procedures, and programs that relate to all phases of human resources activities, including employee relations, compensation and benefits, training, development, recruitment and retention, and all associated human resources programs including, but not limited to FMLA, EEOC, ADA, COBRA, for example. Provides organizational leadership with a steady emotional hand when faced with difficult situations or employment-related issues. Balances discretion and authority equally well.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Labor Relations, Business Administration or the behavioral sciences, or an equivalent degree. Experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
EXPERIENCE
Five years of progressively responsible, successful management experience in hospital human resource management or a directly related field. Knowledge of EEOC, ADA, FLSA, OSHA, NLRA, COBRA, and other federal/state laws and regulations is a must.
