Fairfield Hospital District Board members have worked over several months to transition the Fairfield, Texas hospital back to its governance for January 2017. The 37-bed community hospital serves residents of Freestone County and surrounding communities. Services include inpatient and outpatient care, laboratory and imaging, home health care, and a 24-hour emergency department designated as a Level IV trauma center.
