Manage Your Diet and Improve Your Overall Health with Local Nutritional Counseling

Freestone Medical Center’s Registered Dietitian works with both inpatients and outpatients to improve their health and recovery process via proper nutritional habits. As an outpatient, with a physician’s order, you have the opportunity to consult with the dietitian and learn how foods and your relationship to them affect your overall health.  Our dietitian is an expert at helping you maintain optimal health with a diet that supports your physician’s medical diagnostic and treatment plan.

We are proud to make this available to our community in the Freestone county area, because we know that sound, objective advice—particularly from a health specialist—can be the difference as you continue the journey of recovering your health.

Nutritional counseling can improve most health conditions.  And who couldn’t use a little help with eating better and developing healthier food habits?  Nutritional counseling supports, but is not limited to the diagnoses of:

  • Type 2 Diabetes
  • Morbid obesity and weight loss
  • Celiac disease
  • High blood pressure/hypertension
  • High cholesterol/dyslipidemia
  • Coronary artery disease
  • …and many more

Whatever your current situation, our dietitian stands ready to help you plan, manage and develop a healthy, tasty and nutritious diet to prolong and support your good health. Our dietitian is specifically trained to help guide patients and teach them about all kinds of foods and how those foods support a healthy lifestyle.
